At Arsha Vidya Mandir, students across the grades 8 to 11 are nominated by the teacher community to contest for the three esteemed leadership positions such as The Chief School Pupil Leader, Deputy School Pupil Leader and Assistant School Pupil Leader, each academic year. Following the conventional democratic protocol, each nominee, campaigns and appeals to the students of the school through well-crafted speeches, inventive posters as well as interacting personally with the students. Subsequently, students across grades 6 to 12 partake in a fair and egalitarian voting process in which, the nominees with the highest number of votes from each category of the leadership post are elected to represent the student body of the school, and have the honor of forming the venerated Student Council.
As the representative body of the students, the elected leaders shoulder the responsibility of being an inspiration and voice to the student community throughout the year. The leaders are also encouraged to fabricate events and activities which duly encompass and strengthen values, shape character and build leadership skills, consequently benefiting the community on the whole. This academic year, the student council will also further expand and reinforce the establishment of the coveted student driven committees which are dedicated to enhance the school’s insightful programs and share the numerous intriguing facets of these activities, which were launched with the prior approval of the higher authorities of the school. The teacher community not only mentors the student council in their activities, but also offers guidance and support in their endeavors. With resolute support and unfaltering cooperation from the student and teacher communities alike, the Student Council will strive to make Arsha Vidya Mandir a better place for everyone.
