“I did my schooling in Arsha Vidya Mandir from 8th to 12th grade. AVM has been more than a place for procuring education in my life; it has played a major role in carving my personality, nurturing my abilities, and defining who I am. AVM is a place that broadened my horizons and introduced me to various aspects beyond academics.

One of the important programs offered in AVM is garbology, which educates students about the various types of wastes, effects of plastics, importance of recycling, sustainable living and thereby helps bring up socially-aware individuals. The school also offers Global perspectives which provide a medium for understanding many social, political, and economic issues in our world and improves the ability to analyze the cumulative effects of an issue. OBAR – (one book all read) instills the habit of reading since our childhood and the following interactive sessions with my peers and my teachers have helped me consider different perspectives about an issue. Last but not least, every year we are taken to visit our school farm where we acquire knowledge about farming, turning of soil, vermicomposting, recycling of nutrients and teaches us to be self-independent.

My teachers have played a crucial role in shaping my future and bringing out the best in me. They were also very supportive in fulfilling my dream. The student-teacher ratio is high, which aids in providing individual attention to every student and identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the students.
