Arsha Vidya Mandir is a co-educational school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education offering education from the Pre-Primary classes up to the Higher Secondary Level classes. The school offers programs for children starting from ages 3½ years to 17 years. Arsha Vidya Mandir strives to offer academic excellence in both the Sciences and the Humanities. The school attempts to achieve this by offering an academic curriculum and an environment which offers a balance in English and Languages, Mathematics, Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities and the Arts and Performing Arts.
The school adopts the basic curricular outlines for the English & Languages, Sciences, Mathematics and Social Sciences from the NCERT and augments the curriculum with programs in English Literature and the Arts and Performing Arts from the University of Cambridge Programs. These programs are conventionally categorised as co-curricular and extra-curricular activities in the National curriculum.
The school takes pride to ensure that learning is not just bound to excelling in examinations but to take that extra step to ensure that learning is a life-long endeavour. The school strongly believes in nurturing critical thinking skills, the capacity to question, research information, analyse information and even synthesise new perspectives. This practice has been possible only by moving away from a passive learning environment to a Constructivist method of teaching and learning. To achieve this sentiment it means the school believes in transparency, clear communication of expectations, collaboration and respecting the needs of all students placed in its care.
To work towards these values the school has taken advantage of technology and created an effective platform called the Arsha Vidya Mandir School’s Academic Portal. Such a system supports an effective, caring, teaching and learning environment. This dynamic platform nicely conveys all information, clear policies, systems and structures of teaching and learning adopted by the school from various perspectives: i.e. a student’s perspective, a teacher’s perspective, a parent’s perspective or a senior head’s perspective. This process has thereby definitely encouraged each member of the school community to become a Reflective practitioner towards teaching and learning. We take pride that we have therefore been able to achieve the goals of the CBSE to offer a Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation in our teaching and learning experiences to our students to high standards. The school portal clearly indicates our desire to cater to the expectations and needs of our school community. This has led our teachers to develop an attitude of sharing the values, vision and moral purpose of education that the school and Nation stand for.
We are proud to mention that we abide by the Standards set by the Central Board for Secondary Education and also augment our teaching and learning experiences towards Global Standards too wherever necessary. Our aim is to offer a high quality learning experience at an affordable cost and thereby make our educational programs accessible to all members in society. We hope that with this spirit of altruism, our contribution to education would make Arsha Vidya Mandir a model school and one that the Nation can be proud of.
