Environmental Management Programmes
At Arsha we are proud that we lay great importance in developing a deep awareness among our school community towards our natural environment, ecosystems and their sensitive balances. The approach towards these themes is taught as learnings on how to synthesise various principles about our environment keeping ‘Sustainability’ as the goal. High quality presentations and learning experiences from external mentors, ably supported by a team of enthusiastic teachers at school are the classroom sessions that students experience. Equally, a lot of experiential learning happens on the School Farm where students spend quality time in practice of Organic farming principles.
Garbology, Waste Management Programme
The school is proud to mention that we lay a lot of emphasis towards managing waste that is generated in the school campus. Through an engaging curriculum called Garbology, the principles of management of all resources and handling waste are taught to the students. Equally the school practices the segregation of waste into eight categories and continuously strives to live by the values that one has imbibed through this programme as an all school community commitment.
One Book All Read Programme
The school is proud to mention that every year the School Heads choose an interesting book for each class of the high and higher secondary classes to read. The themes that are suggested are ones whose contents have had a specific impact or contribution in society. We encourage the students to read the book independently and during the course of the year the author of the book is invited to the school to interact and engage with the students directly.
Optional Sports and Team Games
In order to also develop Team and Large Group Sport activities the school has organised for various coaches to come and train our students in various team games after school hours. These sports include training in football, volleyball, table tennis and cricket. Experienced coaches who have trained students to develop the skills and abilities to participate in inter school competitions come in to train the students.
