This year, our Annual Day was an extraordinary celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the boundless energy of our students from Grades 6 to 12. They came together to produce Prāṇa, a play that explored the essence of life, breath, and vitality. What made this production truly remarkable was that it was entirely student-led. Every aspect of the performance, from casting and choreography to costumes, set design, music, and posters was mostly envisioned and executed by the students themselves. This gave them a unique opportunity to experience the full spectrum of creativity, leadership, and teamwork that goes into producing a professional performance.
The play was a feast for the senses, blending philosophy, science, and mythology into a narrative that celebrated curiosity, wonder, and interconnectedness. Scenes flowed seamlessly, transitions were visually captivating, and each moment on stage resonated with vitality and purpose. The ensemble worked in perfect harmony, transforming the stage into a living mosaic of energy, movement, and sound.
As the story unfolded, Arjun, our central character, found himself caught between faith and reason, confronting a Priest and a Scholar who debated revelation versus science. The chorus’s collective call of “Truth!” highlighted the tension between certainty and wonder, ultimately celebrating curiosity as a space beyond absolutes. Through expressive dances, evocative music, and stunning choreography, students brought abstract concepts such as breath, energy, evolution, and cosmic vibration to life, culminating in the celebration of the cosmic vibration of AUM.
The production also featured visually striking moments such as DNA strands brought to life through movement and the unique presence of Darwin, Dawkins, Krishna, and the Yogini, each creating powerful impressions on stage.

Faith spoke of revelation, science of reason but Prāṇa celebrated the question itself.
Collaboration was at the heart of this production. Different age groups, talents, and teams came together to create a cohesive spectacle. The performers, the students managing costumes, the ones designing sets, and those coordinating music and lights all contributed their skills with dedication and creativity. This shared effort allowed students to learn the value of communication, problem-solving, and supporting one another while pursuing a common goal.
Prāṇa was more than a performance; it was a platform for students to explore their potential and express themselves boldly. The combination of dance, music, visual design, and storytelling created moments of awe and reflection that captivated the audience. The production reminded everyone that learning can be an immersive, living experience, imagination has no limits, and when students work together, they can create something truly spectacular.
The Annual Day left a lasting impression of energy, wonder, and collaboration. It showcased the creativity and dedication of our students, proving that when young minds come together, they can breathe life into ideas in ways that inspire and delight everyone who witnesses them.
The play ended not in applause, but in silence — the breath returning to the All.
