On a bright and inspiring morning of 26th January 2026, the grounds of Arsha Vidya Mandir came alive with tricolour pride, disciplined formations, and the unmistakable energy of young achievers. This year, our 77th Republic Day celebrations were thoughtfully woven together with our Annual Sports Day, creating a powerful reminder that true education shapes both character and capability.
As our Chief Guest, Major Bhoopendar Singh, unfurled the National Flag, the entire gathering stood tall in reverence. The salute to the Tricolour, the National Anthem, and the National Pledge echoed across the grounds, filling every heart with pride.
The stirring rendition of Thaayin Mani Kodi further strengthened the patriotic spirit, reminding us that freedom carries responsibility.
One of the most powerful moments of the morning was witnessing our students articulate what citizenship truly means in today’s world. We were inspired by young children speaking their hearts on Two Sides of a Coin: My Rights vs. My Duties, Cyber Responsibility: A New Form of Patriotism, and What Does the Constitution Expect from a 17-Year-Old Indian Today. Their words reflected awareness, maturity, and hope for the future.
Adding a soulful dimension to the celebration were musical renditions of Ekla Cholo Re by Rabindranath Tagore and the stirring Achamillai Achamillai by Subramania Bharathiyar — a beautiful blend of cultural heritage and national pride.
The Lighting of the Torch marked the official commencement of the Annual Sports Meet. As the torch made its way across the field in a spirited relay, it symbolised perseverance, unity, and teamwork — values that define both sport and citizenship.
The lighting of the torch marked the beginning of the Sports Meet, followed by energetic drill performances, martial arts displays, gymnastics, and the much-admired pyramid formation. The Prize Distribution Ceremony celebrated not just winners, but resilience, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
At Arsha Vidya Mandir, Republic Day and Annual Sports Day are not just events on a calendar. They are living experiences that nurture pride in the nation, strength of character, and unity of purpose.
The day ended, but the spirit continues — in every stride on the field, every respectful salute, and every young mind ready to build the future.
